College Style Squash Hits The T!
College Style Squash hits The T
On Saturday September 27th as part of our “Squash and Symphony” open house, Coaches and students at The T Squash Academy will duel in a college-style squash match.
2 Teams, 9 matches, 1 winner, just like in college squash.
Teams are named after the schools where our Coaches played college squash (Coach Neal at Harvard and Coach Laura at Cornell). The first team to record 5 total team wins is the victor, but all 9 matches will still be played.
Each team has 9 players, ranked 1-9 based on their relative skill level on the team. Players in the #2 position will play against players in the #2 position, 3s will play against 3s etc. Every match counts toward the team total. Every match has the same weight!
How does a match work?
Any players not participating in the “Symphony” recitals should plan to arrive at 2:45 pm and remain until 4:30 pm.
At 3:00 pm: the even matches will go on first, refereed by the odd # players. So 2,4,6 & 8 play first, with players #3,5,7 & 9 refereeing.
At 3:30 pm: the odd matches go on court, refereed by the even numbers. So #3,5,7 & 9 play second, with players 2,4,6 & 8 refereeing. The #1 match is the last match to go on.
Here are the Teams!
