Guess who is pitching with the Reds?
We know Maurice Bason as a T volunteer coach, T membership team leader, T tour guide and fierce senior squash competitor.
You may have noticed that Maurice is always wearing purple. Did you know that over 10 years ago, he was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer? Less than 5% of those diagnosed with this terrible and deadly cancer have survived longer than 5 years, much less 10. Maurice is an ardent advocate for Pancreatic Cancer awareness and responds to any person who needs support, care and resources when faced with this diagnosis, with a personal phone call.
On June 7th, Maurice will be honored for his work for Pancreatic Cancer Awareness by throwing the first pitch at the Reds Game. He is very excited about this opportunity and is currently learning how to throw a baseball (he’s British, you know!).
We hope to see some of our T friends and family at the Great American Ballpark on June 7 to support Maurice, and raise awareness and funds for the pancreatic cancer cause. Wear purple! Purchase discounted mezzanine level seats, and the Reds will donate one half of all ticket proceeds to PanCAN.
